Forecast for March 31, 2011

Today:
This morning we'll have patchy drizzle with rain showers moving back in this afternoon. High temperatures will stay well below normal as we only reach the mid to upper 40s. Winds will be light out of the north.

Tonight:
Rain showers will continue off and on tonight with mainly gray skies. Low temperatures will be in the mid to upper 30s. A few flakes are possible once again but any accumulation is highly unlikely, with the only exception being for extreme northern suburbs.

Friday through Tuesday:
Friday a few showers will be possible early in the day, but the sun will come out during the afternoon with temperatures climbing back above 50! That is still about 10 degrees below our average high for early April. Saturday and Sunday both look dry with temperatures slowly warming into the middle 50s. Monday looks even better with a high back near 60. Chances for rain will move back in Monday and Tuesday as well.

Forecast for March 30, 2011

Today:
The morning commute will be dry, but the Mid-Atlantic will have showers spreading from SE to NE during the midday hours. Winds through the day will be out of the ENE at 5-10 mph with highs only reaching the mid 40s.

Tonight:
Rain will continue off and on through the night with a chance for some snowflakes to mix in during the overnight hours as temperatures cool into the low to mid 30s. Any snow that does fall will not accumulate.

Thursday through Sunday:
Patchy drizzle will be found across our region to start off Thursday. It will eventually clear out before another round of rain moves in Thursday night. Again some mixing of snowflakes  will be possible during the overnight. Friday the rain will taper off early and we'll then dry out for the weekend. Saturday and Sunday look fine with temperatures still below normal in the low to mid 50s.

Forecast for March 29, 2011

Today:
Tuesday looks to be our best day of the next five. Skies will be mainly sunny with winds remaining light out of the North. Highs today will only be in the low 50s.

Tonight:
Clouds will be on the increase tonight as a short wave moves towards the Mid-Atlantic. Low temperatures will be in the upper 30s in the city and drop into the lower 30s across the suburbs. Winds will be light and variable.

Wednesday through Saturday:
We'll have several short waves moving through and bringing with them chances for precipitation. Precip will mainly fall in the form of rain but some snow flakes are possible during the night time hours of Wednesday and Thursday.  Our best chances for precip will be Wednesday afternoon into Wednesday night and again on Thursday night. Friday chances for rain will continue but mainly just during the morning hours. Saturday skies still look partly to mostly cloudy but we will be dry.

Forecast for March 28, 2011

Today:
Skies today will be a bit deceiving as they'll be mainly sunny. Winds will be light out of the North as temperatures struggle to climb into the upper 40s.

Tonight:
Temperatures this evening will drop back below freezing with clear skies and light north winds. In the District we'll drop to around 30, but in the suburbs we'll drop off into the low to mid 20s.

Tuesday through Friday:
Tuesday will be another dry, but cold day. Wednesday looks like a wet one with rain off and on during the daytime hours. Thursday and Friday we'll have chances for rain but neither day looks like a complete washout. The colder than average temperatures look to continue through at least the weekend.

Forecast for March 24, 2011

Today:
Today will be crummy across the Eastern 2/3 of the United States as cold air was brought down by the front that moved through with the thunderstorms last night. Highs will only reach the upper 40s with breezy North winds. Skies will remain gray through much of the day as well.

Tonight:
Winds will diminish and skies will break up tonight. Temperatures will fall into the lower 30s.

Friday through Monday:
Friday will be dry but cold. Saturday and Sunday we'll have a chance for some rain showers with even a chance for snow Saturday night into Sunday morning. Monday during the day looks dry before another chance for precipitation moves in Monday night. The below normal temperatures will continue through at least the middle of next week.

Forecast for March 23, 2011

Today:
Rain showers will be with us through the day with some showers and thunderstorms this afternoon. Some of the thunderstorms could be on the strong side, especially to the west of the DC Metropolitan area. Highs will be in the mid to upper 50s with winds coming from the East at 5-10 mph.

Tonight:
Showers will continue off and on through the night. They will taper off however as we head into Thursday morning. Winds will be out of the ENE at 5-15 mph as we drop off into the lower 40s.

Thursday through Weekend:
Thursday and Friday will both be dry but much colder than we have been for the past week. Highs temperatures will be lucky to climb above 50 degrees through early next week. Rain showers will move back in Saturday night and we'll continue to keep showers in the forecast on Sunday. While highly unlikely, even a couple snow flakes will be possible Saturday night if the system doesn't slide to our south.

Today:
Today will be the last semi-pleasant day before colder air starts moving back into the Mid-Atlantic. Highs will range from the low to mid 60s with partly sunny skies. Winds will be light out of the North.

Tonight:
Skies will be mainly gray during the evening with rain showers moving in during the overnight. Lows will dip into the mid 40s as winds turn to the East.

Wednesday through Saturday:
It will be an active and much cooler end to our work week. Wednesday showers will continue with highs only reaching the mid 50s. Thursday and Friday will be dry with highs in the low 50s and lows dropping into the 30s! Saturday will be even cooler with a chance for some rain showers as well.

Forecast for March 17, 2011

St. Patrick's Day:
Skies today will be completely sunny as the Irish and everyone pretending to be Irish celebrate St. Patrick's Day. Temperatures will warm into the mid to upper 60s and winds will be fairly light out of the SW.

Tonight:
Patio weather will continue to be in effect through the evening as we cool down to only 50 degrees. Skies will be clear with winds turning a bit to the west.

Friday through Weekend:
Friday will be an excellent day with highs reaching the mid to upper 70s. A few spotty showers are possible Friday night into Saturday before another nice day moves in for Saturday afternoon. Temps Saturday will be in the mid 60s. Sunday a few clouds will move in with highs only reaching the mid 50s. Sunday night into Monday another chance for showers moves in, with temperatures staying seasonable in the long term (Mid to upper 50s).

Today:
Rain will end early today with high temperatures climbing to near 60 degrees. Skies will be mainly gray with a few peeks at the sun possible this afternoon.

Tonight:
Skies will become partly cloudy this evening as we cool off to near 40 degrees. Winds will be light out of the North and West.

St. Patrick's day through Weekend:
A ridge will build in and bring some mild temperatures for this time of year from Thursday through at least Saturday. Thursday highs will hit the upper 60s, Friday we'll hit the upper 70s, and temperatures will stay mild in the 60s on Saturday as well. Patio weather will be in full effect, making for a great weekend to be Irish.

Today:
Skies will be cloudy through the day with chances for rain showers moving in this afternoon. Temperatures will be in the lower 50s. Winds will be fairly light out of the ENE.

Tonight:
Lows will be in the low to mid 40s. It will be raining off and on through the night.

Wednesday through Sunday:
Rain will continue through rush hour Wednesday. Clearing skies will then take shape by late in the day and the warm up will commence. Highs Wednesday will reach the 60s, and we'll be in the mid to upper 60s for St. Patrick's day. Friday we'll hit the mid to upper 70s before cooling back into the mid to upper 60s Saturday. Enjoy the nice temps as Spring looks to permanently move in.

Today:
We'll start off the weekend by retreating a bit from how nice it was Saturday and Sunday. Highs today will be in the low 50s with skies staying mainly sunny. Winds will be from the N at 5-10 mph.

Tonight:
Clouds will filter in as our next weather maker heads our way. Lows will be in the upper 30s and winds will be light form the NE.

Tuesday through Friday:
Tuesday will be mainly cloudy through the daytime hours with showers starting to hit our area by the evening. Rain showers will continue early Wednesday before a big warm up moves in. Highs Thursday will be in the mid to upper 60s and Friday we'll be pushing close to 80! Looks like excellent Patio weather for the start to the weekend and St. Patrick's day.

Today:
We'll have much improved conditions today with dry weather across the Mid-Atlantic. Highs will be in the low to mid 50s with Partly Sunny skies. Winds will be out of the W at 5-10 mph.

Tonight:
Clearing conditions will continue as we drop into the low to mid 30s. Winds will be light out of the west.

Weekend into middle of next week:
Dry weather will be through the day into the middle of next week. Temperatures will bounce between the middle to upper 50s before warming into the low to mid 60s by the end of next week.

Forecast for March 10, 2011

Today:
It will be tough to stay dry along the entire Eastern Seaboard today. Expect heavy rain across our area today with 2-3" possible from the storm. Winds will be a bit breezy at times out of the SE with temperatures warming into the upper 50s. Isolated T'Storms are also possible during the afternoon hours.

Tonight:
Rain will continue during the evening before tapering off as the front approaches us. Lows will be in the lower 40s with skies staying mainly cloudy. Winds will be from the S at 5-15 mph.

Friday through Monday:
We'll dry out Friday through the weekend with temperatures staying seasonable to just above normal. Friday winds will be a bit breezy at times out of the West. Temperatures will be in the low 50s Friday before warming to near 60 Saturday. Dry weather looks to continue into the middle of next week.

Today:
Skies will start off cloudy and winds will be fairly light out of the ESE.  Chances for rain will move in late this afternoon with better chances coming after sunset. Highs will be in the upper 40s.

Tonight:
Periods of rain will happen through the night and it will fall heavy at times. Winds will also pick up and become breezy as a system inches closer to the Mid-Atlantic. Lows will not drop off much as we'll bottom out in the low to mid 40s.

Thursday through Sunday:
Thursday periods of heavy rain will continue at times with highs reaching the upper 50s. Friday we'll only top out in the low 50s but Saturday we'll hit near 60 with sunny skies. The dry and comfortable conditions will continue Sunday as well.

Today:
Sunshine will be in abundance today and winds will be light out of the east. Temperatures will be fairly seasonable with highs reaching the lower 50s.

Tonight:
A few clouds will filter in as winds stay out of the east. Lows will be in the lower 30s.

Wednesday through Saturday:
Clouds will filter in Wednesday as the next cold front approaches. Rain showers that will be heavy at times will move back in Wednesday night and continue off and on through the day on Thursday. Showers will taper off Thursday night and we'll dry out Friday and Saturday. Temperatures through the period will be in the low to mid 50s.

Today:
Skies today will start off Partly Cloudy but become Partly Sunny during the afternoon. High temperatures will not be as cold as they were today. We'll top out near 50 degrees. Winds will be a bit breezy at times out of the S.

Tonight:
Temperatures this evening won't drop much as we will be underneath gray skies. Winds will continue out of the S at 5-10 mph. Lows will be near 40.

Saturday through Tuesday:
Saturday skies will be cloudy with rain showers moving in during the late afternoon and evening hours. Rain showers will continue Sunday before tapering off Sunday night. Skies will then slowly clear out with pure sunshine returning Tuesday. Temperatures through the period will be in the upper 50s Saturday and then cool off into the low to mid 50s for Sunday - Tuesday.

Today:
Skies will be sunny through the day but arctic air will control our weather. High temperatures will only reach to near 40 degrees with winds coming out of the North at 5-10 mph.

Tonight:
Anticipate partly cloudy conditions this evening as we cool off to near 30 degrees. Winds will turn to the SE at 5-10 mph.

Friday into Monday:
Friday and Saturday will be fair with temperatures warming to near 60 Saturday. Saturday evening showers will move in, and we'll have periods of rain showers on Sunday. Monday the rain moves out and temperatures will continue to stay in the 50s. The long term doesn't have any significant changes to our temperatures, through at least next Wednesday anyways.

Today:
Today will start off pleasant with winds out of the south and plenty of sunshine. High temperatures will be in the upper 50s. During the afternoon a cold front will slide through. This will be a dry front but it will usher in much colder temperatures.


Tonight:
Skies will be clear as winds come in from the NW at 5-15 mph. Lows will be in the lower 30s and upper 20s across the DC area.


Thursday through Sunday:
Conditions look to stay dry through at least Saturday evening. Sunday does look to be a rainy day at this time. Temperatures Thursday will be much cooler than previously anticipated. The colder air moving in with this front will keep us from creeping above 40! Temperatures will moderate Friday and through the weekend, with Saturday and Sunday topping out near 60.
