Forecast for March 23, 2011

Today:
Rain showers will be with us through the day with some showers and thunderstorms this afternoon. Some of the thunderstorms could be on the strong side, especially to the west of the DC Metropolitan area. Highs will be in the mid to upper 50s with winds coming from the East at 5-10 mph.

Tonight:
Showers will continue off and on through the night. They will taper off however as we head into Thursday morning. Winds will be out of the ENE at 5-15 mph as we drop off into the lower 40s.

Thursday through Weekend:
Thursday and Friday will both be dry but much colder than we have been for the past week. Highs temperatures will be lucky to climb above 50 degrees through early next week. Rain showers will move back in Saturday night and we'll continue to keep showers in the forecast on Sunday. While highly unlikely, even a couple snow flakes will be possible Saturday night if the system doesn't slide to our south.
