Forecast for September 23, 2010

Today:
More sunshine and more warm temperatures.  We will possibly top out above 90 once again. This would be our 65th day of the year at 90 degrees or warmer and will bring us within two days of tying the record for most 90 degree days in a year, set back in 1980.

Tonight:
Muggy conditions will continue, and it will feel more like July than September in the District.

Longterm:
Friday will be another warm day as a cold front approaches this weekend.  Saturday temps drop back to the mid 80s under partly sunny skies. Sunday may include a light shower or two, but otherwise expect gray skies as temperatures stay more seasonable (Mid 70s). Much of the region missed rain again today and unfortunately we need it even more now.

Weather Highlights:
Not everyone missed the strong T'Storms on Wednesday.  Leesburg was pounded with penny to nickel size hail and many flights into DCA were delayed to IAD until the storms passed.
