Forecast for September 29, 2010

Remnants of soon to be Tropical Storm Nicole will bring heavy rain potential to DC:
Rainfall forecast from soon to be Tropical Storm Nicole
There will be a sharp cutoff, but this is some rain we need, just not all at once. Up to 6 inches of rain could fall in portions of the DC Metro. This is a good time to remind everyone that if you're driving and see a flooded roadway: Turn Around, Don't Drown. The rest of the forecast is below, stay dry everyone!

Today:
Clouds will fill in and rain will begin pelting the area as we head into the evening commute and nighttime hours. Expect highs in the low to mid 70s with lows only dropping back into the mid to upper 60s.

Thursday: Rain showers will continue through the day as Nicole heads to the North. Expect rain to begin tapering off Sunday night. This could potentially alter many travel plans, so make sure to check on any flights you may have on Thursday, especially in AM and afternoon hours.

Weekend:
For the weekend we will be able to dry out. Temperatures will be comfortable with highs feeling like fall. Friday we'll be in the low 70s. Saturday and Sunday highs will only reach the upper 60s!
