Forecast for December 17, 2010

Today:
Skies will be mainly sunny today as we remain between two systems. Some slippery spots will still be found across the Mid-Atlantic, especially during the AM. Highs this afternoon will be in the mid 30s with light winds out of the NW.

Tonight:
Other than some clouds moving in tonight will be quiet. Lows will drop into the mid 20s with winds becoming light and variable.

Saturday into next week:
The models we use to forecast are still not in good agreement with a potential nor'easter that will move through our area Saturday into Sunday. Saturday during the day looks dry, but Saturday night some snow may move in. It would continue into Sunday as well. Higher amounts will be to the east, and it may miss us entirely. Follow me @hamblinj to receive latest updates through the weekend. After this system moves through it's looking like pretty safe travels for leaving from DC through Christmas.
