Forecast for February 15, 2011

Explanation of Busted Forecast:
Yesterday definitely did not go as planned. Air is generally warmer just above the earth's surface, but this temperatures is usually not realized, except when windy conditions are able to mix the air from aloft. This time the winds were able to mix the atmosphere up thoroughly and that allowed us to climb into the upper 60s!

Today:
Skies today will be mainly sunny through the day and winds will continue to be breezy out of the north. Temperatures will be much cooler as we only climb into the mid to upper 40s.

Tonight:
Winds will diminish during the evening and become light and variable during the overnight. Skies will be clear as we cool off to near 30 degrees in the city. Outlying suburbs will drop into the low to mid 20s.

Wednesday to Saturday:
Mild weather returns Wednesday with sunny skies staying with us through the weekend. Thursday still looks great and Friday looks even better with temperatures returning to the upper 60s! Saturday we will cool off a bit, but cold weather doesn't look to move back in until next week at the earliest.
