Forecast for February 1, 2011

Today:
We will be under a Winter Weather Advisory through Noon today. Freezing rain across the Mid-Atlantic will be possible, especially during the morning commute. There will be some slick spots, especially on untreated roads and surfaces. Take your time, even though the ice accumulation will be light, only a little ice makes moving around extremely slick.  High temperatures today will be in the low to mid 30s.

Tonight:
Patchy Freezing Rain is possible tonight, but will be dependent on the temperature. Lows will be in the lower 30s, but if they are able to stay above freezing, we will not have to worry about any icy patches. Winds tonight will be light out of the Northeast.

Wednesday through Weekend:
Wednesday will be warmer as a low pressure system to our w will usher in the high temperatures from the south. Rain showers will be off and on throughout the day as the front slides through during the evening. Thursday and through the week temperatures will drop off a lot as arctic air filters in behind the front. Snow chances exist for Saturday as well.

Flier:
