Forecast for January 17, 2011

Today:
High pressure will slide off the coast today and a low pressure system will be headed our way by evening. Skies today will be mainly gray with temperatures remaining fairly stationary. Highs will be in the low to mid 30s. Winds will be light out of the East.

Tonight:
The low pressure system will begin affecting us this evening. We will have chances for a wintry mix with little ice or snow accumulation possible. Conditions will be slippery thought through at least the morning on Tuesday. Lows will be near 30 degrees.

Tuesday through Friday:
Tuesday morning there will be a chance for some freezing rain, but as temperatures warm the precipitation type will switch to all rain. Tuesday and Wednesday will be pleasant for this winter as temps hit the low to mid 40s. Thursday the sunshine returns, as does the cold and another snow chance will be possible Friday.
