Forecast for January 28, 2011

Today:
Skies will remain mostly cloudy throughout the daytime hours. Some snow showers mixing in with a few rain drops will pass through the Mid-Atlantic. Accumulations look light, with most spots a dusting to a half inch of wet snow is expected. High temperatures today will be in the mid to upper 30s with winds staying light. The commute will not be as horrific as Wednesday, I Promise!

Tonight:
Even with the thick cloud deck blanketing us, temperatures tonight will still drop into the 20s thanks to the snowpack.  Winds will be light out of the Northwest.

Weekend into next week:
The weekend looks relatively pleasant. Skies will be partly sunny with temperatures near the 40 degree mark. It is a ways out, but another potential winter storm is on our horizon. At this time it looks like it would move through from Tuesday evening into Wednesday, but models tend to slow systems down so don't rule out the storm moving through early Thursday as well. Their are a lot of details to be ironed out, but at this time snow, rain, and sleet all look possible. Stay tuned!
