Forecast for January 20, 2011

Today:
Skies today will be mainly sunny to start off but as high pressure slides to the East clouds will begin to move back in. Highs today will be in the upper 30s and winds will be light out of the North.

Tonight:
A rain/snow mix will be possible this evening, but thanks to evaporative cooling expect temperatures to cool enough for a changeover to all snow. 1-2" will be possible across the Beltway as we wake up Friday morning. This will no doubt cause massive delays as you head into work to finish off the week.

Friday through Weekend:
Snow will depart and leave us with the coldest temperatures of the year. Friday highs will be in the mid 30s, Saturday highs will not rise above the upper 20s, and temperatures stay cold Sunday too. The next chance for precip after Friday morning doesn't come until next Tuesday, when another rain/snow mix is possible.

Flier:
