Forecast for January 24, 2011

Today:
The good news today is that skies will be sunny and winds will be light. The bad news is we have another frigid day instore across the Beltway as temperatures only warm into the upper 20s and low 30s.

Tonight:
Clouds will filter in and provide a nice blanket for us. Temperatures should not drop to much from afternoon highs and the thick cloud deck will keep us insulated through the overnight. Winds will be light and variable.

Tuesday through Week:
Tuesday clouds will move in as next system inches its way closer from the SW. A chance for light snow will move in Tuesday night into Wednesday. Wednesday is when the brunt of the system will hit, and it looks to hit mainly Wednesday afternoon. This is when temperatures will be warmest and that means at this time the majority of precip that falls will be in form of rain. Thursday sunny skies return and Friday looks sunny as well. Tuesday winds will be out of the S and that will warm us into the low to mid 40s. Temps will then head down back into the upper 30s by the end of the week.

Flier:
